One-Pan Taco Skillet (Chicken or Ground Turkey)

Protein-forward, fun, and the entire family can build their own bowls.

Ingredients:
• 1 lb ground turkey or chicken
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 1 packet taco seasoning OR 1 tbsp chili powder + 1 tsp cumin + 1 tsp paprika
• 1 yellow onion, diced
• 1 bell pepper, diced
• 1 can diced tomatoes with green chiles (drained)
• 1 can black beans (rinsed & drained) — optional
• 2 cups shredded cabbage or romaine
• Optional toppings: avocado, salsa, Greek yogurt, cilantro

Directions:

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet.
  2. Add onion and bell pepper; cook 3–4 minutes.
  3. Add ground turkey; cook until browned.
  4. Stir in taco seasoning and diced tomatoes.
  5. Add beans if using; simmer 5 minutes.
  6. Serve over shredded cabbage/lettuce or in bowls with your favorite toppings.
